Herfurth Meats was founded in 1971 as “Herfurth Brothers Meat Market”, and ran as a retail operation until the mid 1980’s. Since then it has continued as a wholesale business specializing in whole Roasting/BBQ pigs, as simply “Herfurth Meats”. It remains operational today under one of the original founders, Louis Herfurth, along with his wife Carol, and son Lou Herfurth III.

Wholesale Hogs
At Herfurth Meats we specialize in USDA inspected whole roasting pigs. Roasting pigs range from suckling pigs (10lbs) up to very large roasting pigs which can be 200lbs or more. We can also supply larger market hogs and butcher hogs, as well as custom slaughter for individuals that raise their pigs.

Roasting pigs are available Fresh or Frozen for whatever your needs may be.

You can order quantities as low as one pig or in large volume.
Custom Slaughter
We offer custom slaughter for individuals that raise their pigs.
We supply distributors, grocery stores, restaurants, markets, caterers, and individuals in the NYC/Brooklyn area, Newark NJ area, and Philadelphia PA area. Other delivery regions are possible (call for details) and pickup at our facility is also welcome.
Individuals
On the individual/retail side, we offer roasting pigs for parties, graduations, weddings, picnics, etc. offered in different ways. Our pigs are inspected, cleaned, and ready for you to roast. We also offer pre-cooked and “ready to go” in our special double walled roasting pig box.
